Temporary housing for homeless people

Last April we were approached to place and set up a temporary extra shelter for the homeless on Wisselweg in the center of Almere Stad. We have placed a total of 75 of our container units in an old parking lot of an office. 30 units are used as offices, kitchens and sanitary facilities for, among other things, the staff and 45 units are intended for the shelter of the homeless.

Due to the measures against the spread of corona, the homeless can no longer be accommodated in the locations where they normally can go. And to guarantee the safety of the staff as well as the homeless, our container units have been chosen as an emergency solution.

The emergency shelter for the homeless will probably remain in place for six months and there will be staff available 24 hours a day to assist the homeless.
